JTran Maintenance Facility
The overall goal of JTRAN is to provide safe, secure, quality, courteous and efficient public transit services that meets the needs of the citizens of Jackson, Mississippi.
The new state-of-the-art administration and maintenance facility features three (3) main buildings (administration and operations, service lane, and maintenance buildings). Ample parking allows for up to 92 bus parking stalls, 74 maintenance parking stalls, and visitor and administrative parking. The site is controlled at both entry/exit points off of Highway 80 and Valley Street. The administration building features a feature stair, multiple conference rooms, locker rooms (female and male), dispatch office, training rooms, and support spaces. The service lane building features a fare box drop, vacuum and wash all state-of-the-art as well as support offices and restrooms. The maintenance building features ample storage, parts room, shipping/receiving area, tire shop, and multiple bays to perform expedient bus maintenance as needed.

Schematic design and Design development services were provided while employed by M3A Architecture, PLLC (Architect of Record: William McElroy); Schematic design and Design development services included Guided Schematic Design Presentation, design documentation, schematic design meeting with the city committee and key stakeholders, consulting with product representatives, researching products, utilized knowledge of the International Building Code to maintain compliance regarding site design, etc..
